(6) SUMMARY: This ride is entered through the Chinese Theater at the end of Hollywood Blvd. Upon entering the building you walk through a cueing line past several glass cases containing memorabilia from some of the more famous movies of the past. You then enter a small theater where the cueing line moves back and forth across the theater from the back to the front. While waiting in this area you can view trailers from dozens of movies on the screen in the front of the theater. This is the last cueing line. After this you will board the ride. The ride takes you through some of the more memorable moments in movie history. You will see scenes from movies such as The Wizard of OZ, Singing In The Rain and Casablanca.  All scenes are recreated in great detail. A fun and entertaining ride with a few surprises and a good place to cool off for a while.

(6) SUMMARY: Based on Star Wars, this ride is similar to Body Wars only better. Based on the Star Wars series you board a star cruiser for a trip to the moon of Endor. The robot pilot as you will see is just a bit inexperienced and you find yourself flying with the Rebel Alliance near the Death Star. That's all I'm going to tell you about the ride. It doesn't have all the bobbing of Body Wars so the motion sickness factor isn't quite as bad. It is however, a whole lot of fun.

Suffice it to say that it is funny, with many unexpected moments. Each member of the audience gets a set of headphones and then sits back and watches (?) a movie. Worth seeing.

(6) SUMMARY: This is a demonstration of special effects but it doesn't really show you how the effects are created. What it does do is demonstrate how a well-choreographed scene should look when it is filmed and how things are set up before filming. The show itself is a very condensed version of the first Indiana Jones movie complete with fights, gun shots, fires, and explosions. Volunteers from the audience are chosen to play the extras that are required whenever films are produced. A great show and all seats are good.

Actors and actresses in full costume sing  and dance on stage in a truly marvelous production. I could go on and on about this show but I won't. All I will say is that if you don't see anything else at M.G.M. at least see this!!! Best seats are about five to ten rows from front.

(6) SUMMARY: You start with a demonstration of special effects at their effects water tank and then board a tram and ride through the back lots and prop departments of M.G.M. Along the way you will see a variety of vehicles used in such movies as "Flight of the Navigator" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".  Just before the end of the tour you will visit Catastrophe Canyon for a demonstration of special effects.  This is a very entertaining and informative ride.

(6) SUMMARY: Take a walk through the mysterious Hollywood Tower Hotel, abandoned suddenly when an elevator full of guests mysteriously vanished during a storm. Then ride an elevator to various floors for a spooky tour which culminates with a faster than free fall drop, 13 stories down an elevator shaft. Take the warnings seriously. This is not a kiddy ride. This, is a real heart stopper. The special effects are superb right down to the Rod Serling introduction. Drop sequences are randomly chosen by computer so each time you ride you get a different series of drops.  Do not leave anything sitting on your lap during the ride, you will lose it.

It takes place in a stadium behind "Beauty and the Beast" that was especially constructed just for this show. It plays nightly just after sunset, twice when the park is open late. It's story is based on the old "good against evil" scenario with Mickey Mouse as the hero. This is definitely a must see.  A few of the restaurants offer a Fantasmic Diner Package at no additional cost. Reservations can be made on the day of your visit at Guest Services.  This package gives you priority seating for the show and allows you to enter through the back way, avoiding the crowds.  Seating is limited.

(6) SUMMARY: You will never forget the initial acceleration rush that you get from this ride. The premise of the ride is that you are going to go to an Aerosmith concert with the band. Their limo is not large enough to accommodate everyone so they order a super stretch limo to take everyone to the concert. Experience loops, rolls, and a zero to sixty acceleration time of 2.8 seconds as you head to the night time concert on the L.A. freeways.  The acceleration is done with magnets, the same as the maglev train that they are experimenting with. This coaster is entirely indoors and in total darkness.

(6) SUMMARY:  This is the studios new show / parade.  Personally I think they should have stayed with the parade format.  When the show comes out it moves onto the street and the performance starts.  High energy singing and dancing goes on for about ten minutes and then it moves to the next location down the street.
